Our jewellery is crafted exclusively with lab-grown diamonds—real diamonds created using cutting-edge technology. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and physically diamond, made from carbon, just like those formed deep in the earth.
But while natural diamonds take millions of years to form, lab-grown diamonds are produced in a matter of weeks. They’re also increasingly used in high-tech industries, from semiconductors to industrial cutting tools—the kind that can slice through concrete. That tells you something about their strength.
Still, our focus is firmly on the gem-quality diamonds used in fine jewellery. And not just any lab-grown diamonds—only those produced using clean, renewable energy. They exist. And we use them. Because we can, and because we should.
Most of the world’s lab-grown diamonds are produced in India and China—countries where energy is largely coal-powered. That coal is cheap, but it comes at a cost: a heavy carbon footprint.
So while lab-grown diamonds may sound environmentally friendly, the reality is nuanced. Many of them are not. That’s why we’re committed to sourcing only from producers that use solar, wind, or hydroelectric power, or producers that use Renewable Energy Credits. It’s the cleaner choice—and the right one.

A WORD ON NATURAL DIAMONDS
We don’t speak negatively about natural diamonds or the natural diamond industry. In fact, we proudly operate De Vere Diamonds, our sister company, which deals solely in natural diamonds.
The natural diamond industry has a complicated legacy—but it’s changing. Through initiatives like blockchain-based traceability, responsible sourcing, and ethical mining practices, the industry is working hard to regain consumer trust. Just like De Vere Brilliance with lab-grown diamonds, De Vere Diamonds are committed to full transparency and traceability every step of the way.
Yes, conflict diamonds and unethical practices still exist. But change is happening, and we’re helping to lead it.

At De Vere Brilliance and De Vere Diamonds, we use blockchain technology to track every diamond from its source—whether a laboratory or a mine—all the way to the customer. That means you know exactly where your diamond came from and how it got to you. We work with Sarine Technologies, Tracr, iTraciT and Everledger to maintain full supply chain transparency.
And one day soon, those tracking servers may themselves contain lab-grown diamond semiconductors. The future is bright—and brilliant.
